Nationalism Management
I'm interested in the circumstances when states find nationalism undesirable and use strategies to control it. My dissertation answers the question: What explains the variations in nationalism management outcome? Why do some states successfully control nationalism while others fail?
Conflict Deescalation
I study conflict escalation/deescalation through both structural and domestic levels of analysis. Particularly, I focus on how domestic forces attempt to influence foreign policy making and how the state tries to isolate domestic influence when the latter is in violation of the former's prior interests.
Territorial Disputes
Why do states make territorial concessions in some cases but not others? I study factors that prevent territorial disputes to be resolved.

China-India Border Standoff
The commentary analyzes the fundamental reason for the 2020 China-India border standoff and its timing. It argues that US has played a key role in precipitating the border conflict.
